"The Ruby Bird”

"The Ruby Bird”, a painting in interpretation of Tadeusz Różewicz's poem "The Amber Bird," depicts and describes transience. The second bird, in turn, represents a bullfinch, the ruby bird, which carries a drop of blood from branch to branch. All the birds I chose appear in Poland during the autumn season. The bullfinch foreshadows something sad and unknown; it is an image of adulthood and old age. In symbolism, the animal signifies the need to be honest with oneself and not to worry about the opinions of others. Inner beauty means that we will also be beautiful on the outside, which is why we should care for spiritual development and be guided by the heart and positive emotions in life. It teaches how to maintain harmony in emotions.

The entire painting is done using the figure-eight movement technique, alluding to infinity and creating a talisman that attracts abundance and prosperity.
