"The Azure Bird"
"The Azure Bird", a painting in interpretation of Tadeusz Różewicz's poem "The Amber Bird," depicts and describes transience. The third bird illustrates a kingfisher, the azure bird, which dies falling beak-first like a raindrop. All the birds I chose appear in Poland during the autumn season. In symbolism, the animal signifies happiness, peace, beauty, and coming to terms with one's nature. In Greek mythology, the kingfisher was a symbol of love and abundance. It is also considered a spiritual guide that helps in personal development.
The entire painting is done using the figure-eight movement technique, alluding to infinity and creating a talisman that attracts abundance and prosperity.
