“The Amber Bird”
"The Amber Bird," a painting in interpretation of Tadeusz Różewicz's poem "The Amber Bird," depicts and describes transience. The first bird represents a sparrow, the amber bird, which carries drops of gold. All the birds I chose appear in Poland during the autumn season. The sparrow illustrates joy and lightheartedness and symbolizes childhood and youth. In Poland, the sparrow brings good luck, and the appearance of this bird can also symbolize financial or professional prosperity. In China, prophecies speak of happiness in marriage and prosperity, while in Japan, it represents trust and cleverness.
The entire painting is done using the figure-eight movement technique, alluding to infinity and creating a talisman that attracts abundance and prosperity.
